Reminder and Robins

Mar 24, 2011 14:52

Hey, guys!

Just a quick reminder that I'm offering two fics for help_japan and so far I only have one bid, so if anyone wants a fic from me, please request at my thread before Saturday March 31! Thanks!

On a completely different note, I've been doodling Robins in pretty much all of my lectures lately. Damian, mostly, but Tim and Jason have popped up, as well. ( Read more... )

auction, batman, real life, images, rambling

I would bid if I had buying power online. But alas...I do not and I hope some lovely person bids well on your thread! ♥

EEEEEEEEEEE PLEASE DO UPLOAD YOUR ART WHENEVER! It will be a pleasure to see it! :3

And Sheldon is basically me as well. xD Except I've been reading Flash: Rebirth since I've been putting it off for so long. >______>

No worries - I'm just throwing up reminders in case anyone is still interested!

I WILL, I WILL. BUT SOME OF THEM ARE SUPER SKETCHY SO BE WARNED. XD

Oooooh, Flash. I've basically just been reading Batman lately, but I'll probably branch out once I read everything Batfam-related that I want to read. Might take a while, but I AM DETERMINED.

THAT'S OHKAY I LOVE SKETCHY DRAWINGS ♥ ♥ ♥

Haha, same here! What have you been reading lately? Perhaps we can...coordinate our Batfam issue reading (that sounded so strange and I am so so sorry xD). There's a better word than coordinate auuugh I know there is; why will it not come to me

Let's see... I've been trying to catch up lately (missing three years of comics kind of sucks), so I've recently read Battle for the Cowl, Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?, and - one of my all-time favorites - Hush.

As of next Tuesday, I'll have Heart of Hush, The Long Halloween, and Public Enemies, and after my birthday next week I'll (hopefully) be able to purchase the new Batman & Robin comics and possibly some collected volumes of Red Robin.

... And it's at times like this when I wish I had more money to spend on comics.

Also, word-wise, were you perhaps thinking of synchronize? We could have a comic book club! \o/

I still need to read Battle for the Cowl :| As for Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader and Hush, would you recommend them? I'm kind of iffy about Hush but what do you think about it personally? (Although, if there are any Batfam moments...count me in!)

I haven't even heard of Heart of Hush or The Long Halloween ;A; AND YOUR BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP WHAAAAT?! And squeee Batman & Robin and Red Robin :3 I am loving them so so much ♥

Sigh. I know what you mean ):

Ah, that sounds better than what I tried to say! xD A comic book club would be fun ;w; It would be something similar to us reading the same comic for some time and then freaking out over it, yes? \o/

GAH, Battle for the Cowl was FANTASTIC. But personally I wouldn't recommend Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader. The main story is kind of strange and only takes up about half the volume and the other half features stories about Poison Ivy and the Riddler. If you could borrow it, it might be worth a read, but ehhh.

However, oh my holy goodness, I LOOOVED HUSH. The art is gorgeous, the story is great, and there's tons of Batfamily and Superman and the best of Batman's rogue's gallery and DID I MENTION THE ART IS GORGEOUS.

Heart of Hush is the sequel to Hush, which I can hardly wait to get my mitts on, and The Long Halloween is the story with the Holiday serial killer, who will be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the new movie. It's supposed to be really good!

YES NEXT WEEK IS MY BIRTHDAY. I AM EXCITE. \o/

And goodness yes, let's read the same comic books and freak out about them together! That would be so wonderful.

OHKAY OHKAY I WILL GET TO READING IT SOMETIME TODAY OR TOMORROW! /determined pose! Eh...I guess I'll opt out of Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader then. I just read the wiki summary and it honestly doesn't appeal to me much either. xD

AND OOOH OHKAY IT SOUNDS FANTASTIC I WILL READ IT THEN! I hope it's not depressing or anything though because I just finished Titans & Young Justice: Graduation Day and auuugh my heart but who am I kidding this is Batman it will probably be depressing OTL

Do you have any plans for your birthday?! Perhaps a bit of splurging or night out on the town or what have you~?

Since you brought them up, let's read Heart of Hush and The Long Halloween together then? :D

It's not too depressing, but... yeah, who am I kidding, it's Batman. Prepare for angst.

I turn 21 on Saturday so at midnight on Friday I'm going out to the bars and on Saturday night I'm hijacking a friend's party and turning it into my birthday party. Should be fun! :D

MMKAY. Now I just need to wait for my package to come.

21?! How exciting! I hope you have fun turning bars upside and hijacking your friend's party! :D Is it safe to assume you have a designated driver just in case? xD

Tell me when it does! :33

We'll be on my college campus, so no driving - just walking! But thanks for being concerned, bb. :3

Should be coming tomorrow - I AM EXCITE.
