BOOSH!

Finally !!
Got this damn stuff together and sounding great!  Yes Dusty, that funny green thing on the mic stand is your mic and it is being put to use on a couple projects.  And yes, you will get first listen (it sounds great BTW, I am very surprised what it does to my voice).

The NEW RIG!

At its core for audio interfacing is the Line 6 UX2 (POD farm ver which has NATIVE plug-in capability) and much as I was going to stay away from a USB audio interface, this thing has really impressed me!  The old Delta-66 was great but was very no-frills, which doesn't work for someone who likes his audio toys to make funkyness.

The real key for me for the UX2 is that it has a headphone amp seperate from the main outs, so while recording vocals over something else, I can just turn down the main (which the monitor speakers are plugged into) and put on the phones, record something, put the monitors back up and listen to it, and repeat as needed (without having to shutoff or unplug the monitors at all).  I guess in the recording industry this isn't how its done, but damn it has been handy as hell for me.  *shrug*

Had a hard time trying to find a setup for the keyboard till I figured to get some basic metal shelving and just bend it into an angled surface.  The screen stand is tits - I've got an external DVD burner in there (the 2 blue lights) plus a USB hub and flash card reader, along with my tried-and-true Sabine tuner on adapter power.

If you're really bored or curious, I can jot down the complete list of goodies, but thats up to you.
Still using F3Music to host some of the tidbits I've put together (nothing from the new rig just yet, but there will be!) but also trying to polish Ethertree into the creative hublette it was intended to be.  One project at a time, but we'll get there.
