Oh my... I watched Forest tales without subtitles some time ago and it became immediatly one of my favourite animation short films from the last 10-15 years. Elena Petkevich and her husband Vladimir are two very interesting russian animators nowadays, check their other works if you can.

By the way, it would be great to have those subtitles in srt. There is this web http://titles.box.sk/ where you can upload them, or I can do it for you if you want :-)

Thanks for your comments, although the directors live in Belarus I believe. It is true that many in both countries consider Russians and Belorussians to be one people, though. May I ask where and how you came across this film? Was it shown in a film festival?

As for subtitles, I've uploaded them to that website you mentioned, but they're not up yet... meanwhile, they'll be downloadable for a week from the following link:

Well, I don't think that that website accepted them. If I were to venture a guess, they probably only accept subtitles from films with IMDB profiles. This film is rather too obscure for that. :p

If anyone wants the subtitles for this or any of the other films I put up, just add a comment.
