When you are a bad mood, what do you do?

Well, I finished listening to the Avenue Q soundtrack, and for some reason it has put me in a very bad mood. Let me rephrase that. I have been in a bad mood and it exacerbated the problem. I don’t get it. Up through My Girlfriend Who Lives In Canada, I was overjoyed. But, by the end I was like PRINCETON CHEATED ON KATE. HE. CHEATED. And they’re ( Read more... )

I think it all comes down to college stress. There is no such thing as too much music.

Wow. I didn't realize that I'd just repeated what everyone else said. Sorry for the refrain.

I personally tend to think most depressing music (AND angry music) is good, with the exception of rap and all other angry/depressing music that isn't good. (I haven't listened to Avenue Q, so I can't really make a sound judgement there. Not that I seem to be making sound judgments anywhere.) And that's not to say that I don't like happy music, too... but... well, you know me. I suppose in some weird twisted way I don't mind being depressed if it gives me something to think about.

I think you should listen to more Friends For Dinner, the Man who Shot Liberty Valance, Yeah! Toast, and then perhaps Annie. Annie is a happy musical. THEN, once you're thoroughly annoyed by the happiness of other individuals, you could perhaps pick up some of the angsty musicals once more. Or maybe it really is college stress.

I agree with you about angry/depressing music, except sometimes it gets me thinking too much (i.e. about the lives of imaginary people) or pondering things that I really shouldn't be thinking about AT ALLLll or imagining really sad situations for the sake of wallowing in the mood that I'm in. If that makes discernable sense. Probably not.

OMG KNOW WHAT? GRACE DISCOVERED THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE AND SHE IS IN LOVE WITH IT! *VICTORY DANCE FOR US* *CORRUPTING YOUTHS AND LEADING THEM DOWN THE PATH OF DARKNESS*. I think I will do exactly that. You GEEEENIUS.

OmFg. Eric Braunstein has that on his binder. It's the fucking funniest thing I've ever seen...of course, when he first showed it to me, I thought the Orly bird was the Bethlehem mascot at a football game. :DDD
