~I try so hard
to get so far
and in the end
it doesn't even matter~
I'd been really worried about the Civ Pro final b/c everyone was planning to cheat. I couldn't figure out why I had worked so hard the whole semester if, in the end, they'd get the same score.
Weelllll, I worked on that take-home final for 19 hours straight. And I think I aced it! My friends have been lamenting over the answers ("Oh no! It was supposed to be *supplemental jurisdiction* not just a Rule 20 analysis!") and as they tell me what they were I don't say anything, but it's *exactly* what I wrote. Yeah, baby! With the additional 10% of our grade going to participation (and I'm SO getting full credit for that) I think I'll get an A in this class... And I'm in the top three spots for LSV, so hopefully I'll get an A there. (I *think* I'm #2, but if Scott got lower than me on his oral arguments, I'm ahead of him - he's only #1 by .2 points ;-))
I'm not competitive. Really, I'm not. I'm just happy to be actually doing decently in law school. After last semester I have to prove I'm not an idiot. :-) I also have to prove Miranda is, and how better to do that than going from a C- in LSV to an A?!
In other news, I am studying for international law, which is tomorrow. I think I'll probably get a B in that class, a B+ in Property, and a B or B+ in Crim Law. Not bad, methinks! Even if I get a B in Crim Law, my GPA for this semester would be 3.56...
In other, other news, we've decided I'd make a damn good housewife. I cleaned the house yesterday (this sounds simpler than it really is - I'm not sure WHEN the last time you could actually walk through every room in the house and it was clean was), cooked steak and potatoes for dinner (um, we haven't had a real dinner in *months*)... James is rethinking his career. "How can I make millions so Jen can spoil me everyday?!" ;-) jk!
