We've already turned in the argument portion several weeks ago (a month ago?). We received it back, made changes, and now will be adding the rest of the brief parts together. It's due in 10 days or so, but a draft of the Statement of the Case and Facts is due Monday. I'd really like to get this whole thing done this weekend.
I've already finished the front page and Table of Contents (without putting page numbers). Now I'm going to do the Table of Citations and then STatement of the Facts...
Fortunately I don't have to change very much in my argument section - just pin-point cites! (Now I gotta figure out what those are!) Yay for the top grade! ;-)
So pretty much all the work is the ancilliary portions of the brief. I've already finished the Question Presented and the Summary of the ARgument...
I know. I'm rambling. I'm brain dead. My fingers just type at this point ;-)
How long does it take you to outline? How long are your outlines? I'm a bit worried... I have four classes to outline for: *Civ Pro - all the notes are outlined (36 pages so far) but I need to add book info and supplemental book info *Property - I have about 20 pages outlined, but that's complete outlining - book, notes, and supplement. *Crim Law - I'm so screwed. I haven't even started. Happily it's my last final. *INt'l law - I'm screwed there too. I have about seven pages outlined, but I really don't understand what's going on in that class. It's too much like Con Law!
hmm... I don't remember how long my outlines were last year. My Crim outline was VERY long -- like over 50 pages -- because we covered so many cases. But I only got a B (though we have a very strict curve here), 'cause well, I didn't know my outline very well! I know my Property outline wasn't more than 30 pages, but we could only have a cheat sheet for the final so that forced me to learn it. And for Civ Pro we could only have our rules book with us in the spring -- but it was one of my best grades.
We have a very strict curve here too. The final rules for this semester are:
1. Civ pro - take home 24 hour exam. Open OUTLINE only (and rules book), but not sure how he's going to enforce that. I'm putting everything in my outline, but I just think that the losers in the class will cheat. :-(
2. Int'l law - open book, note, everything. Three hour exam. I'm going to do an outline, obviously, and hopefully just have to refer to that!
