dreaming of beaches
I just bought a plane ticket to Hawaii for the first week of June ^_^ A dear friend of mine is getting married there, and I decided to stay a week to amortize the cost of the plane ticket. I only wish Henry could come too but it'll be earnings season =( But we will have our tropical beach vacation in Tulum...we're debating whether or not to go to Chichen Itza or learn to scuba or go horseback riding. Visiting the ruins at Coba and going snorkeling at Akumal are definitely part of the itinerary. He is the most awesome trip planner ever! If we ever go on The Amazing Race, he will definitely be the planner and navigator.
But I'm going to miss him awfully when I go to Hawaii; it's going to be the longest we've been apart since we got married. He's such a darling for letting me go away on this rather expensive trip. I'm splitting a room with the maid-of-honor (whom I haven't met but she seems nice on the phone) so I'll be able to save money, get an insider's experience, and help out with wedding things. And of course, I'm also hoping to enjoy some quiet relaxation and get some writing done. I'll be in Kapolei, which is on the southwest part of Oahu, away from the touristyness of Waikiki.
Alright, I need to do some writing and clean the apartment and lesson plan. I can't spend all my time dreaming of beaches, as tempting as it is...
