The eating begins!

Henry arrived from Boston last night, and our first meal was BBQ Chicken from the Korean chain place around the corner...the predecessors of the restaurant were Togi and Little Seoul...anyway, we got some of the original chicken and the terigold wings--the terigold wings win for tastiness!

So far today we have continued the nearby-restaurant-heavy-food pattern, grabbing a cubano especial and chuletas fritas (fried pork chops) from Cafe Havana--its (superior, we've found) predecessor was Chelsea Havana restaurant.  The chorizo in the cubano was not very good, and instead of being crisp, the sandwich was rather mushy--very disappointing.  The chuletas themselves were about as good as the old place, but smaller portion, no lettuce/tomato, and half the rice and beans for more money.  Because, as Henry says, the accoutrements were lacking, the dish as an overall experience is not as good as Chelsea Havana.

Now we are off to grab some dumplings and herbal tea (Kong Kee, my favorite!) in Chinatown, followed by a saunter across the Williamsburg Bridge into Brooklyn.

The next two weeks are going to be basically eating all our favorite NYC foods ^_^
