(no subject)
I really don't have time for this, I should be doing so many other things! But I had to write about my week! Katie came up Wednesday and we did some shopping and other fun stuff like that, Thursday I don't even really remember what we did other than watch the new Pride & Prejudice. It was really good, if you haven't seen it, I would recomend it, highly. After that was done about 11:30pm or so, we stayed up talking and giggling till 1, yikes! Friday we slept in(gee, I wonder why?) and then headed down to CT. for the weekend, 'cause she had to work.
I helped around the house while she was at work, then I went to pick her up. Saturday since she had to work again, I had made arangements to go see Kaitlin and talk knitting. We had a good time, we figured out the problem(yay!) then went for a walk, a nice long one too. When we got back we decided to make brownies. Not bad. We also decided to spice them up, again, not bad. The problem came when we tried to bake them for 20 minutes...they weren't anywhere near ready! It took at least another 40(?) minutes for them to be done, but they were worth it. First layer, brownie! Second layer, pecans, sugar, and more good stuff. Third layer, brownie again! Frosting - brown sugar frosting. They were needless to say to die for(especially hot). I headed back and was just in time for dinner, there was company(sort of), some of the guys from their church were over to watch tv and relax. Kaitlin had sent home some of the brownies with me, they didn't last long at all.
Sunday was good, Katie's friend Joy came over to spend the day, so we had church and lunch. After we finished we went to the park to take pictures of eachother with b&w film. We had a good time, took lots of really neat pictures, got cold and a little damp, then headed home. Katie and I made Joy watch part of Pride & Prejudice with us, we got through half of it then we had to head out to swing dancing. We had decided to go earlie that weekend. Katie had been before, but neither Joy nor I had. I wanted to go, but was aprensive about the whole dancing thing. Before we left, I was really nervous and was quite honestly trying to figure out a way to get out of going(sort of hard since I was driving!) So we went. I had the best time!! It was really fun learning. I'd like to go back and learn more, I got through the basic step, the turn, and the change places, more than that and I think I'd fall over right now. It was most fun dancing with the guys who really knew what they were doing(most of those were atleast 50). Some of the guys were off beat, that was hard to dance with, so I ended up watching their feet the whole song(I think they thought I just didn't know what I was doing, I guess that could be too!). Ok, I'd better stop on the swing dancing subject. But I had tons of fun and would like to go next chance I get.
Well, I'm now at home, and what I should be doing is dinner. So I'd best go do that!
