Lay-off YAY!! XD
Please do excuse me for the excessive "yay"s. It's just that... Aiba's "yay"s are waayy too cute! XD
So last night we got home from Boston about 1.30ish. And I was the only one working today! Hmph!! (hey, it's 10 right now and everyone except my grandma is still sleeping) I set up my alarm at 5.15 and I put it right next to my ear. And somehow... I didn't hear it until 5.45. Sheesh. As always, I thought of skipping work but I thought... one day is $80 (well, $60 with tax -.-) and that's how much I just spent pre-ordering the Natsucon goods. :P
So I came to work for what?! To sit down and talk for 2 hours, got a shirt, and got laid-off. That's the only thing that's totally annoying me right now. Couldn't they lay us off Tuesday? I mean... with 4th of July off... they made us come back the next day just for the lay-off?! But I'm not complaining about the lay-off though. :D
So all the boxes that we had to count... were already counted and matched. So we just pretty much talked for 2 hours. Then surprisingly suddenly the supervisor came in. He said that he's gonna be gone all this week until Friday cuz there's gonna be a lay-off. He was carrying this list and half of it was highlighted. No surprise there, lay-off definitely.
First, the shirts. I was really amused that they actually gave us shirts. I mean, last year... everyone (I mean everyone) said that they have never worked at a place that treated people this bad. They treated people like crap, really. Then again, the pay's pretty good and the work's unbelievably easy so... people stayed. Now they're giving us shirts? They really have changed this year.

Oh and they let us go at 9.30 and we get paid for the whole day?!! Last year they let us go at 10 and we only got paid until 11.30 or something like that. But yea... that was so yay XD

Anywaaayy, it was break time but they wouldn't let us go to break. They insisted on handing out the shirts first. Well... obviously it's cuz of the lay-off. So whatever. Yea this time I didn't cry hahah. It was not that sad. Last year it was one team of 6 people and we got really close. And a bunch of other close ones too outside of that team. I didn't really care about the work. I was just really sad about not seeing them again. See? I never hangout with them ever again after that.
When I was saying thanks and bye to the supervisor, he said that they might call us back as soon as next month but I have that Japanese roommate program thing... so I told him I'll see him next year hahah. Long long time... no work. Need to save money for other Arashi new releases hahah XD
On the way home I got all excited already thinking about all the things that I could do today. Usually I have to choose only a couple of things because I only have a few hours. Now I have the whole day long!! :D Yay! It was not even 10 yet when I got home. So now I can finally finish Bambino and Silence!! And all other things that have been put on hold... n_n
