NANA
It's my favorite part of the whole manga (well, I've only read up until volume6 so far)... and it just happens to be my favorite part of the movie too XD
When I first watched it, I only lasted... 30minutes. Which is not bad at all considering I found the beginning pretty boring. Then yesterday I watched it again with
skippiey and though I said I'm not gonna watch the parts that I already watched, I did too. It's pretty good. Well, I'm giving it a 5/5 anyway (thanks to Takumi XD).
It would've been a lot more enjoyable if I didn't do the usual "this is supposed to be like that" the whole movie. I'm one of those annoying people who just keeps comparing the movie to the book. Especially manga... cuz no one looks as good as in the manga XD.
Nana... is just exactly like Nana in the manga. The only thing is just... you don't see her as vulnerable as she really is. You know, behind all those tough exterior. In the manga, you can see how much she feels hurt from her eyes. In the movie... all the parts with her and Ren, her eyes are pretty much emotion-less.
Hachi... is just as bubbly as Hachi should be!! I absolutely LOVE her acting. I just don't think she's as cute as in the manga (then again, who is). No, I don't think she's ugly. Just... not as cute (face-wise). But her personality is just as cute!! ^^.
Jun and Kyosuke. Well, I have no complaints about Kyosuke hahah. But Jun (heheheh XD "Jun")... I think she looks dumb. I think it's her face. I expect her to look mature and wise. She acts like that... but it really doesn't go with her face.
Shoji & Sachiko. Of course I complained about Shoji not looking as good as in the manga. But he kinda grew on me and in the end didn't look as bad as the first time hahahah. Still far from the manga though. I love the Shoji in the manga (as in how cute he is, not the character himself). His personality is kinda different also. I sure don't feel bad for him in the movie. And you don't get to see how he's such a nice guy other than that.
While Sachiko... is just as cute as she should be. I don't like her though. Her voice is just unbelievably ANNOYING!! But it's perfect for her character. And I really don't feel bad for her in the movie either. She's just... ugh.
Yasu I'm not gonna complain. Not exactly the same, but good enough :P Ren, ugh. Ren. Where do I start. Well, isn't he supposed to be the most handsome and popular in Trapnest?? What the hell. Well, that's my opinion anyway. Other people might think he is good-looking. But not in my eyes.
Nobu and Shin. Nobu... other than the usual "not as cute as in the manga"... it's the hair. The hair makes him looks stupid!! Point is, I don't like the Nobu in the movie! /=| While Shin... *aaargghhhh* Shin!! Quoting Reira in the manga "OMG What a cutie!! Even Mr. Johnny would gasp!" Hahah XD Love that part.
So yes, Shin is supposed to have a Johnny's face!! And a babyface too! Well, at least he's supposed to look the youngest! And in the movie he looks older than Nana! Hmph. And for some reason, he seems so shy. He's not supposed to be shy! He's supposed to be cool and quiet at times (NOT shy) but also funny and childish!
Oh and I forgot to cap Reira and uhh... that guy at the 70's store. The usual, he looks weird and not attractive at all. And Reira is not as pretty. Almost though. Oh and I love her voice :)
Yes, I saved Takumi for last hahahah XD
When I first saw him at the concert... of course I complained. Oh and the posters before that too! I was like... he's supposed to be really hot!! And cool too actually hahah. Only his hair is the same. Cuz I soooo love the Takumi in the manga. He's so hot with that hair hahah. What is it with me and guys with long hair XD Just like Hachi :P
Then came this part...
Piey let out a loud "WHUHH" hahahah XD.While I was just struck dumb and speechless. Shocking, shocking I tell you. I've been waiting for this part, cuz it's my fave part in the manga. But after seeing Takumi in the posters and the concert... I didn't think he would look THAT good. And the hair... *sigh* the haaiirr <3
After the movie's done, we rewatched that part hahahah XD. And once again, we were surprised. We were quiet for like 5 seconds, then we burst into laughter hahahah. Cuz once again, we underestimated just how handsome he really is.
So of course, I googled him. And I found this pic. Doesn't Jun have the EXACT same picture? With a hat and the exact same pose??! I'm pretty sure, cuz when I saw that pic, I thought it was Jun. I know Jun has that same pic. I thought I have it. But after browsing through 500ish pics of Jun... I still couldn't find it!!
That was sooooo frustrating. How could I not have that pic?!! Not to mention, Arashi pictures are unsearchable unless you know it's from which specific magazine issue. But anyway, he has so many titles to his name and I don't know any of them. Well I've heard of Summer Snow, but he's only in the 6th and 7th episode.
But anywaay, too bad I can't find scans of the manga. Cuz then I can compare each of them picture by picture hahah. Oh and one more comment about the ending... if only it stopped at the part after Hachi started crying, then Takumi said "I made her cry" and you see the rest smiling. In other words, just like the manga XP. Though Takumi ushering her through the door made us go *chaaahh* XD
I so wanna watch the second movie. But I don't think I got that far yet with the manga. So I'll just wait. Oh and a different Hachi and Ren?? I just hope they're better-looking hahah. I'm dreading what comes next anyway. Not so happy things -.-
