So I just found out that they're gonna have a comeback concert tour. Soon as I heard it, it took me less than a minute to make up my mind about going to the one in NY. I'll go to NY. It's Spice Girls!! Though I haven't listened to their songs for about half a year now cuz ever since I knew Arashi, that's pretty much all I listen to 8P.
But I remember how exactly 10 years ago (5th grade, 1997) I was totally obsessed with them. I even had all their albums, though the only one that I listened to the whole thing was Spiceworld. But I still love their songs until now :). I had a bunch of their concert vcds which I've watched as much as the AAA.
How could I not go to a reunion tour?! It's like a once-in-a-lifetime chance! I would've gone to their concert if they had one in Indo, which they never did. So I went to look for the tickets. I'm going, I don't care who I'm going with. I'm going. Then I found out about that stupid signing up to buy tickets!
What the hell??! It says "first chance to buy tickets". So does it mean the rest will go out for public? Cuz otherwise, what are the chances?!! This is so like JE's way of balloting for tickets, except the whole fan club thing. Still... can't they just release the tickets and let us buy -- first come, first serve (I'm talking about both JE and Spice Girls here). And I thought it would be as simple as clicking around ticketmaster DX.
This sucks. Westlife, Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester United, Simple Plan... I always got a chance to see whatever I was passionate about. Arashi. I still have time. It will happen. But this... isn't this like their last big hurrah?? Otherwise, I wouldn't be so pissed about the whole balloting thing. Well, only if they're gonna have another concert in NY in the future XP.
On a completely different note, I also just found out that Zinedine Zidane went to Indo!! >=\ If only he came 5 years earlier, I would've stalked him from the airport hahah XD. But yea... Zizouuu... TToTT My prince charming footballer... *sob* He was nowhere near my top list of fave footballers but he was one of my faves.
The way he plays is just sooo... *gush* charming. Last time I saw him was of course (wow, almost exactly a year ago) that World Cup final vs Italy where he headbutted Materazzi and got sent off. Memorable last game. Where did my passion for football go?? =/ Well, I guess it's been sucked up by the azn pop culture world.
Aaaahhh just remember. I had classes Tuesdays and Wednesdays... around the time Champions League is usually aired on ESPN2. No wonder. 06/07 was the first Champions League season that I didn't follow at all ever since I got into football (2002). I didn't even watch the final. Well, what good is watching the final if I haven't been following the season at all.
Actually, I haven't been following football at all. Last time I got really pissed because of all the politics. Not to mention I HATED transfers. Cuz to tell the truth, I was a football fan slash fangirl. So instead of following clubs, I follow footballers. If I get really into them, then I'd pay more attention to their club also.
That's why I got really pissed when people thought I was a glory-chaser. You know... just jumping into the bandwagon. Cuz unfortunately... I fell in love with Raul Gonzalez and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Of course people thought I was a glory-chaser. Real Madrid and Manchester United?? Chyeah.
I remember back when I just moved here... how unpopular football was. ESPN2 only aired one, ONE game each matchday. There's a whole box full of videotapes of those games. I couldn't record over them. There was this one semifinal game between AC Milan and Inter Milan that I kept just because Christian Vieri, who was injured at the time and couldn't play, looked so hot sitting there on the bench XD. This was way back when he still had that gorgeous long hair. So freakin macho hahahah XD.
Anywaaayy, now it's a lot better I guess (I mean the world of football here in the US). Maybe I should get back into it next season. It was fun. I've been thinking so much about my past lately. It's kinda depressing. Which is why I've been so focused about the present all this time. Nothing about the past, nor the most likely bleak future. Thanks to Arashi, the best distraction and mind-occupier ever ;P.
