This has been fairly decent February vacation, I suppose. It wasn't a rollercoaster ride of excitement, certainly, but perhaps a slow, titillating hayride. Most of it is completely jumbled in my head, but I can try to put down here in some (random) order what I did, because I know my readership loves to learn about my life (or just see their names in someone else's journal). :)

Well one thing is I got into college. :o Amazing, yes. I got into the one college I applied to, with an essay about how much college essays suck. Quite an achievement, right? No, no it really isn't. But I'm happy to be going to UNH, anyways. I think I'll do well there. I just have to manage to eek through 3 more months of this shit (read: school) without letting my grades slip TOO much, but... I think I'll manage.

The first saturday of vacation was ... long. I decided to sign up for 4 hours of observation time and 1 hour of driving time for driver's ed all in one day. So from 9-11 I observed, had an hour off in which I went to Subway and ate, then drove for an hour, then observed for another hour. By the last hour I was totally fried, falling asleep in the car. But it was good to get those hours out of the way. The next day I observed for one more hour, and drove for one as well. So I only have 1 more hour of observation to get through, which is a nice feeling. My teacher says I have a lead foot, I tell her I'm in total control. Maniac I am not, I just know what the speed limit is and use that knowledge to it's full legal potential. So... suck it off the tap, Mrs. Smith. :P

One of the first days of vacation I hang out at Casey's for a couple hours, playing Halo and shooting innocent teammates. Alyssa came by shortly before I left, it was cool to see her there too. I had brought my music drive to put some of it on her computer, but I had to go before we got to that. It was fun anyways, and I have decided that I need to hang out with girls more often, as it is quite enjoyable.

Thursday was a rather eventful day. Jimmy threw a party at his house and Spindog, Megan, Z-Guard and I showed up. Basically it was the four guys who would be sharing a room on the NY trip plus Megan playing DDR for like 5 hours. Plus a little Texas Hold 'Em (which I suck at). DDR is really fun though, we all busted a move, minus Jimmy who has no balance or sense of ryhthm (and he's in band, GAHAHAHAHA!). Z-Guard is fucking UNSTOPPABLE at that game! My mouth was on the floor most of the time watching that kid. So much fun was had. It's fun to play, but it's also hilarious watching other people play/try to play/fall over. After that party I had one of my own with a bunch of people coming over to play, but of course, more video games! Basically I just sat and played Halo with Neil and Casey for like 2 hours, love that game. And lost a bet ashamedly to Neil... damn him. Tom and Zach played some Rise and NFSU... of course. Jon was rockin' out on Call of Duty for a while. It was a good time, everyone decided to leave around 11. I cleaned the place up, then read for a bit, then slept.

Which reminds me, I got the Gormenghast trilogy by Mervyn Peake from my mom's library and started reading it over vacation. I watched the TV mini-series when it was on PBS a few years ago, and enjoyed it a lot. But damn these books are really good! It's split up as a trilogy just like LOTR, except this guy's writing is so much, well, better... to me anyways. I'd definitely recommend it to any fantasy fan. I've been reading it at home, and at work too, but now with school starting again I'm afraid it's going to be read a lot less, and be replaced by Madame Bovary. Fucking school.

Work this week has been alright. Worked a few more hours than usual, with two full days of work as opposed to just one, so I ended up with 21 hours. The new girl is finally starting to talk and be less shy, which is cool. Working is so much more enjoyable with someone there to rant with about how much we hate books/hatch plots to the burn down the library.

The coffee house on Saturday was cool. Everyone in the group who performed sounded really good. We didn't make as much as last year, but we still made plenty for the campout this year. I thought all the food tasted good, especially since I was really, really hungry. I didn't bus my table at all, mainly because I was lazy and didn't want to. I stuck it to the man!

Today I hung out with Bryce most of the time. I went down where Mammoth and Bridge intersect and did the "intersection analysis" thing for driver's ed. It was fun, I stood there looking as professional as I could with my clipboard and pen, shaking my head and giving dirty looks at people in the cars, then checking something off on my paper. Haha, and everyone gave dirty looks to Bryce because he looked like a hobo sitting there on the grass. I think I pissed a bunch of people off, but that's good. :) We also did a little planning for the youth group meeting we're going to do next week, hopefully that'll execute well. Then we went to dinner at Spatt's with his parents, good food, but really big portions.

Oh yeah, and people are fucking idiots. If I met this man in real life I would jerk him off SO hard. >:-|
