At The Gathering. One of the world's four biggest computer parties. 5200 people (of which 85 percent are boys and 15 ditto girls) in the Vikingskipet hall, from today until Sunday. The Internet connection is superfast, there are cute geeks/nerds everywhere, there'll be an awesome opening ceremony tonight, and the caffeinated beverages flow freely. People use various wheeled implements to get from their row to their friends' row, since the distances are rather big. A boy in a Pikachu outfit just walked by me.
