Christ, I have never been this hungry in my life. It not only hurts, it gnaws. I could swear there were things living in my stomach, chewing their way through it. I'm all weak and faint, too; I've been lying on the couch or in my bed for a week straight; it's a wonder my muscles haven't simply upped and gone

Are you sure you don't need antibiotics? Maybe you have some sort of infection to go with all of this tonsillectomy misery. I imagine you're tired of ice cream by now.
