Last night I was thinking about TV. I was thinking about how people just sit in front of the TV like zombies and let the media completely brainwash them. TV tells you how you are supposed to dress, act, be, and it even tells you what to buy. And the worst part is, it puts so much importance on "celebrities." Who gives a shit what Britney Spears or Tom Cruise is doing right now? I certainly don't. The other day there was a whole show on what celebrity babies were wearing! I'm pretty sure a 2 year old baby doesn't know the difference between a $100 Lacoste shirt and a $12 shirt from Wal-mart. Besides, what does it all have to do with me? The only thing shows like that do for the commoner is make us feel like we're not good enough. Time is stolen from us when we spend it watching TV. Within a 30 minute time period I could accomplish so many things. I would rather live my life being productive without TV than live it trying to be someone the TV tells me to be. It's sad because people don't realize the depth of human beings. People don't think above the material world, and it is making their lives worthless.
