Update Number Two
Sorry that I was gone everyone. I had internet access issues and then medical issues that necessitated a visit to the doctor issues today. The internet access issues were fixed by Comcast and the medical issues since Monday by antibiotics from my doctor today. Since I am in pretty severe pain (ear and sinus infection), and had to travel pretty far on the bus in the heat to go see my doctor I will keep this short.
The first transfers from PayPal cleared yesterday (I did a series of staggered transfers as per my bank's suggestion and they worked beautifully). I went yesterday to get a money order for the $1700 that I promised the landlord. I called him Monday and left him a message. He didn't call me back. My friend called him and asked if he really wanted the money that he needed to call her back.
He called her back today and he met her downstairs and she gave him the money order. She asked if this meant that everything was fine and he said that the judgment was up until April, so that the money she gave him only covered up through May. He said that she still owed him June's rent. They talked back and forth and he left with the money order. She is going to go by the courthouse tomorrow and see if that is actually true. If so, she will just give him another $500 and that will be June's rent payment. Hopefully then we will be done with this whole mess.
Tomorrow I will update this again and let everyone know what happened. If I haven't gotten around to responding to emails, requests for information, etc I will do so in the next few days. I am going to take some anti nausea medicine and lay down because the antibiotics are making me nauseous. Thank you everyone for bearing with me.
