Down with Wal-Mart
Thats it, I'm done with Wal-Mart! I want to love it so much with everything in one place and cheap, but I can no longer handle the dark side. Wal-Mart brings out the worst in people. I have been in too many verbal altercations to count there. Granted I usually own some rude person or clerk, but yesterday left me speechless which never happens. There was the incident with hubby and the ex almost fist fighting in the parking lot in all our white trash glory. Then there was the amazing time when a lady took 2 entire carts full of stuff to the self checkout (with only one open) and didn't understand how to use the system. I finally (very politely) asked the overseeing clerk to check out my one item at her little kiosk desk. The 2 cart lady turned around and said "you knew how much I had when you got behind me, so get over it." When she said that the clerk looked at me and I took a breath and said (like I am talking to a 5 year old) "ma'am while I may be annoyed at you I have been nothing but polite, and since I was not speaking to you why don't you remember your manners and get back to apparently feeding Cambodia." Where that came from I will never know, but she turned purple and everyone around us died laughing. I mean, lets throw out the fact that when we both walked up the polite thing to do would have been for her to let me go ahead.
Then yesterday...
I was putting the groceries in the truck and a woman came out to get in her car next to me. First she was screaming at her kids all the way out, then she gets to her car and throws (crazy hard) the door open and slams it into our truck. I turned around in shock, but she just continues about her business. I said "umm...excuse me did you just hit my car." She then screams "shut the f$%^ up, what are you going to do about it." She then told her kid to "get his stupid a$$ in the car" and jumped in and drove off. What do you say to that??? I didn't even bother to get a plate # because in all her white trash glory she probably doesn't even have insurance. I mean, these things happen and I wouldn't have thought twice about it if she just would have apoligize. But if meth heads are now flocking to wally world then I'm out.
Oh and this is in addition to the fact that Wal-Mart is now Hispanic central. Hispanic women are fine but some the men have the amazing ability to make you feel naked with whipped cream and a cherry on top. They also have no qwames about letting you know they want to eat you up in Spanish. While getting checked out can sometimes make your day, they have the tendency to make me just want to go take a bath. Ick.
On the up side Harry Connick Jr. was a-freakin-mazing! He does such a great show and the other musicians were unbelievable! Anytime he comes back you must go see him! And...4 more days till spring break and spring break massage. It doesn't even bother me that my next set of classes start on the 19th.
