Note:I had some Aimiya dose 'cuz of last night's Shiyagare episode, I just had to write this. Hehe~. (Oh and I'm not really sure with the, er, context(?) of Aiba having no clue with the computer and some of the parts aren't as accurate... but hey. This is fanfiction. [shrug emoji here]) This was... randomly conjured up. OTL
Aiba Masaki's not the best when it comes to working with computers. He does know the basics---he's not that old to not know---but he's more knowledgeable when it comes to smartphones. It's not that he doesn't have his own laptop, in fact he does, he just doesn't know where it's gone since it had been a long while since he last used it.
And it's not his fault that they gave him a laptop that's set in another format!
Looking around the other four, he's glad that he wasn't alone when it comes to being confused about the device. Ohno Satoshi was, too. He tried asking for some help from Jun, but the latter wasn't much of a help either. Just how the hell-
"Aibasshi," he looked up to see Kazunari standing beside his desk. Of course, someone like him would be great with computers, since he basically uses a laptop every single day. Masaki was just about to call for Sho---since Kazunari already helped him a moment ago---but he guesses it's better to have him there instead. (Sho was now talking to Satoshi)
And truthfully, he'd much prefer that option.
"You can change the format either on the keyboard or here..." The sound of "Oh~"s from the audience drowned out Kazunari's voice. He wasn't sure if it's because of them or the two older members. But hearing Sho's sudden laughter made it clear. Hell, he wasn't even paying attention to what the man beside him was teaching anymore, and instead was just gawking at him like a kid, staring at a bowl filled with candies.
Like candy...? Wait... no. He's not candy. Definitely not eye-candy either! He's more than that... right?
Kazunari suddenly smack him on the head, and though it was light, he yelped---causing everyone to, of course, laugh. It made him realize that he had just thrown away his "variety-slash-idol side" and ended up staring at his friend. Luckily the hit he received snapped him back to his senses.
He laughed, rubbing the part where Kazunari hit him, then focused on the laptop screen in front of him. Kazunari asked him if he understood, but he shook his head as a no, causing the other to playfully roll his eyes and then help him with the computer. Meaning he'd lean in closer to where he sat---meaning he's screwed. But remembering that they were currently filming, he decided to put a serious face on and actually listen to whatever the man was saying (something about an alt key? fn? shift?) the cologne Kazunari sprayed on for that day---which was probably recommended by his stylist---wasn't helping, at all.
There's no harm in stealing glances, right?
"What are you doing?" Kazunari mumbled. Their gazes met, but instead of answering he just grinned. "Were you... smelling me?"
Masaki's smile faded; he nervously looked around but everyone's gazes were at the the othr two beside them. Sho was laughing at something Satoshi showed him while Jun was still typing on his laptop.
"...No," he responded, turning his attention back to the device. He had already finished, thanks to Kazunari. The latter could have went back to his seat right away, but he stayed there. Masaki could tell that he was staring.
He would have looked back if Sho hadn't sat back down on his seat, so of course Kazunari followed. They all laughed off how clueless he and Satoshi were when it came to computers, and then the segment was over.
And as he watched the show the date it aired, he was glad that they edited out a few parts from that segment or else that would have been embarrassing to watch. Masaki looked at his own laptop (it had been inside his cabinet all along) and replied to an email, putting what Kazunari had taught him, into good use.
His phone started ringing the moment he hit "enter" on his keyboard, sending the email to his friend from Chiba.
"Aiba here," he said, rubbing the sudden sleepiness from his eyes and then letting out an inaudible yawn.
"They didn't include the part you stared at and smelled me!"
His heart skipped a beat at his friend's sudden words. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again; he looked over at his TV screen, his gaze going to Kazunari and watching him for a few seconds.
"...Yeah," he finally answered, a smile creeping its way to his face. "It's a shame, huh?"
There was silence on the other line, then Kazunari's laughter which made him feel at ease.
