I need to find a new loving home for my wonderful cat due to my husband's increasing allergic reaction.
Asimov ("Asi") was born in 2001, had a litter of kittens by the time she was 1, got fixed, and is in very good health. She hasn't been to the vet in several years, but I'm happy to take her there with you and I will pay for her updated vaccines. She's been an indoor cat for the last 8 years, with occasional supervised forays into the back yard to eat grass.
She is a typical cat -- sleeps most of the day, explores boxes and bags, likes to scratch scratching posts and sometimes upholstery. She will chew yarn and string if allowed. She has been known to catch mice -- at least 3 in the past few years -- and used to catch birds when she was a kitten and allowed outdoors.
She can get along with other cats (after an introductory period) and has been very tolerant of and gentle to my 1-year-old daughter. She loves attention and will sit on your lap, and sleep next to you at night, but she doesn't really like being picked up. She understands that she is allowed to be in certain places and not others. She doesn't have much experience with dogs, but I expect she'll hold her own and get along with them fine.
I am very sad to give her up, but for my husband's health it has become necessary.
I'd love to be able to visit her once in a while.
Litter box, food container, brush, toys, harness, etc. will be included, since we are not going to have another cat.
