It's only the first week back at school and yet it was already full of work, stress, tests and lots of "ohmygodwhyisn'titsummeryet".
Currently I'm trying not to die out of boredom after spending four hours sitting in a crowded room and listening to a lecture about our country's military. What can I say, at the time it looked like a good idea to sign up for a school trip that takes place instead of lessons.
It was not. ಠ_ಠ And the award for responsible and useful time management goes to me! :D
It probably doesn't help that lately my sleep schedule has gone cuckoo. For the last few nights I got about two hours of sleep and spent the rest of the time trying to get rid of all the thought buzzing in my head or wandering around aimlessly like a lunatic. Now I am drinking lots of coffee which probably isn't the best solution to this problem, but if it helps me not to fall asleep face down in my plate during dinner, it's good enough for me.
And since this is turning out to be one of my usual "I ate a sandwich today and it was good" posts, here's some real life unrelated news - the Nijigahara Holograph manga is amazing and you should read it if you're amazing. It's by the same author who did Oyasumi Punpun, which is another manga I love dearly. It's short and confusing as hell, but despite that I found myself drawn to how messed up and at the same time beautiful it is. It's just really different from most of the things I read. Oh, and did I mention the art is gorgeous? Because it really is, in a way I can't quite describe.
Here is probably my favorite scene. ♥
