After that mountain of work, I think I've officially kicked the resolution to quit smoking down the gutter. The higher ups better be damned happy with this work and re-do's are out of the question. You know I'm not upset you missed it, or anything like that. I was stuck having to catch up on work myself.

If it helps I hardly know the man except for the fact that he owns some store, and happened to decide to bid on my description. Besides, you're worth a wait, I'd like to think.

No, not really. Nothing says 'great birthday' like reviewing case notes and cold profiling the latest criminal du jour.

I didn't think you were a jealous guy, and I know how important your job is. As for disappointing, you haven't yet and I figure stressing over whether you might in the future isn't worth the pressure.
