☈ Asshole Human.
Would other characters be able to sense your character's species?
☈ Yes, easily. He stinks of mortality.
Is there anything strange in your character's blood, DNA, etc that other characters might be able to sense?
☈ Nope; Badou comes from a world where people can be genetically altered, but he hasn't been.
What does your character's soul look like?
☈ Kind of cartoonish, so this is only for Soul Eater canon, but it's scruffy and grungy-orange, with a giant black smoking hole in it where the right eye should be.
Is it possible to read anything from your character's soul?
☈ Impending violence and unbalance, with a side of apathy and lethargy. Think like, rabid junkyard dog. Sometimes it's sleeping and couldn't give half a fuck. Sometimes it's eating your left leg!
What color is your character's soul?
☈ Charcoal greys and reds/oranges; industrial fire.
Does your character have an ability that others might be able to sense?
☈ It's not strictly an ability, but some characters might be able to sense something 'off,' in other words, that he's a homicidal berserker.
Is your character surrounded by something else that might somehow 'stick'?
☈ Insanity, blood, smoke, and a kind of underground cave-cold.
Can your characters thoughts be read?
☈ Somewhat. Badou's mind is very chaotic even when he seems like he's not thinking at all, even sane; anyone taking a peek would just get this overwhelming sense of churning too much. Once he gets wind of it, he'd go to great lengths to derail his own thoughts, including self-harm and mentally singing I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves.
Is it possible to communicate with your character through telepathy?
☈ Yep, although he'll be extremely Not Into It, and verbally bitchslap the telepath in response.
Is it possible to see what your character is doing through psychic powers?
☈ Within the right context! I'd appreciate a heads up for this outside of LULZ situations - that kind of thing could bring Badou's semi-shady plots to their knees.
Is it possible to sense your character's location somehow?
☈ Within the right context, and with a heads up concerning a serious plot, I wouldn't mind at all. Otherwise, Badou's difficult to track down unless you're an expert tracker - it's a big ship, and he's got a lot of hiding places.
Is it possible to sense your character's emotions? Intentions?
☈ Badou's heart is completely burnt out and cold with apathy, and when it's actually working it's mostly unstable and violent. Emotion-readers can probably tell he's insane in the membrane even when he's outwardly dormant. He doesn't give a shit about practically anybody with very few exceptions [at this point in the game; 00ne, strayguns, prayforprey, & areyouhungry being at the forefront]. There's also a lot of paranoia and deceit, as he keeps thousand secrets and lies/misdirects constantly and has no integrity to speak of.
TL;DR LOTS OF NEGATIVE OUTPUT, BASICALLY.
Does your character have any mental walls or defenses up?
☈ Tons - he rarely lets people in on his every day activities, much less anything deeper. For the Ace Attorney fandom, there is a turret made of rusty junkyard garbage to scale, with barbed wire at the top. Once you're over and inside, there are at least 7 trap doors, which drop you straight down to where you started, breaking your (mental) legs. Of the 7, one has what you need; but you still have to take the drop.
Can your character be mind-controlled?
☈ Yes, but as it's unstable his mind would be hard to hold onto [like ~*~SMOKE~*~ haw haw haw]. He's not very influenced by others' outside suggestions at all; he relies almost entirely on his own reason and analysis of what others say, imply, or try to instill in him.
How do you feel about 4th wall breaking?
☈ Go for it, barring spoilers and Dark Tragic Past stuff.
Is there something specific that you don't want anyone to know about your character?
☈ Badou very rarely tells people about himself in a sincere way, and locks most of his more private conversations, so there wouldn't very often be grounds for characters knowing that much about him. However, for those that know his canon, I don't want his brother coming up, nor how exactly he lost his eye.
Basically, it's okay for characters to sense there's something that fucked him up, but no specifics unless Badou imparts them.
How do you feel about threadjacking?
☈ I FUCKING LOVE THREADJACKING. Badou's a notorious threadjacker and will likely jack you right back!
What about spamming your posts?
☈ I FUCKING LOVE SPAM. My inbox fears nothing. My only pet peeve is when spammers don't comment to the original poster. As long as you do that, we're cool.
How about sudden action threads?
☈ I don't mind at all, as long as it makes sense in context.
Can your character be imprisoned? Explain why/why not/when is appropriate.
☈ He physically can, but for now, I'm going to say no. Badou's insanely good at running away or going crazy in the last second - it's a matter of how you catch and subdue him rather than just locking him up!
Is it okay to approach you about hacking private threads? Alternatively, how technologically gifted is your character?
☈ Hacking is mostly okay [unless the thread is marked UNHACKABLE]. If it's something Big I'd appreciate being contacted if your character plans to make any actions on it, or if it changes their relationship to Badou in some major way.
In canon, Badou doesn't place much hope in technology, as his world's failed terrifically, and what was left was the mangled kind of science that screwed up his life. He cares even littler about hacking [considering a blunt object a more practical weapon], but after so many months on Thor he's learned how to make encrypted things relatively difficult to access under 00ne tutelage. He's nowhere near expert level, and very lazy and unlucky, so there can be exceptions to this.
Has your character died before? Can other characters pick up on this?
☈ He hasn't died. Yet.
Is it okay to kill your character, given the proper discussion/circumstances?
☈ MAYBE. But I'm not looking to kill him off just yet, and if I do I would rather it be part of a plot, rather than WELL MY CHARACTER IS STRONGER AND ALSO SUPER PISSED. Badou pisses stronger people off like it's his job; he just doesn't have time to die every 2 hours.
