alas, my lovelies. it has arrived. the entry that i promised. in this entry, i intend to cover the pg-13 rated occurences of my spring break, relive the awesome moments of orientation, and snip the highlights that stick out like sore thumbs in this crazed head of mine. enjoy, and leave some comments.

wednesday
wednesday evening was spent at my house until later that night. i went to stay with whitney. we spent most of the evening talking, laughing, and even managed to find time to grab some game time online. that was quite fun.

thursday
thursday morning we awoke at 7:20 because we had to be in coeburn at eight. we took the mountain that i hate, but i didn't even care because it was so early and i wasn't awake enough to care. we got to coeburn and got some breakfast at burger king. gah, i love their french toast. we ate in the parking lot next to the movie theater and then found some old school cds to entertain us until chasity got there. chasity is whitney's cousin and she was bringing her daughter sydnee to whitney for her to keep for the day. i think that makes sense. haha. so chasity gets there and whitney gets sydnee. she uncovers her head for me to see her. i swear, i was in awe with this baby. she is so beautiful. we took her back to whit's (yes, back up the mountain. french toast + mountains = yucky tummy. LOL!) so we played with her. i fed her some and held her, and i didn't want to let her go, but i had to so i could go home.
once i got home i took a shower, got ready, and went with mom and dad to lee county. it was a boring trip, but i managed to catch up on some lost sleep. however, the ride home was amazing. i found myself lost in the beauty of the rolling mountains. they really are beautiful once you take time to notice them. once i got back, i met whit and we went to wal-mart for a few things before proceeding to check on joyce after her wisdom teeth extraction. she seemed to be doing very well. i came home long enough to leave again to get a movie. i got "something's gotta give". haha funny, cute movie. retired early to bed.

friday
got up around 10:30 and got ready for orientation. orientation began at 12:30 and the whole day progressed accordingly up until casino night at 6:30. the day was so fun. i instantly bonded with this girl named allison. i met chris in the bottom floor lobby of cantrell. i met luke during group activities when i found his shoe. lol. i met susan at karaoke night. haha she's so freakin' funny. she resembles reese witherspoon. the whole day was fun and i really can't wait 'til this fall to see them all again. susan, luke, and i all live in the same room number, just in different buildings. it's kindly ironic. i also met josh at casino night, after he won 20,000 dollars on the roulette table. that was awesome. i stuck around for karaoke night, which might i add was quite fun. the guy that sang "fishin' in the dark" was an absolute doll. a bunch of us sang and danced. i ended up running into a friend of mine which was quite nice. :) michelle, one of the phi sigs, asked me if i wanted to go to a party with her and some of her sisters, but i was a dork and came home. lol. once i got home, i was on a pure adrenaline rush and it was very hard for me to settle down to sleep.

saturday
the second day of orientation began at eight. dear lord, much too early. i registered for this fall. i hope i get in all the classes i wanted. i really hated to see that morning/early afternoon end. that meant having to say good-bye to the amazing people i had met over those two days. i got a few pics, so i have great reminders. i just can't wait for this fall. i wanna graduate and hurry college along. :) around 3, i headed to big stone to meet cooter to do the tux thing. i think he's gonna look quite dashing in the choices we made and pieced together. came home and chilled for a bit and then headed out to the dorms for a bit. all in all, it was a very good day. ;)

sunday
unfortunately, i wasn't in church. we don't attend church regularly, and i don't want to be the type that only attends church on holidays. that's hypocritical. the day was spent resting. i wanted to go back out to the dorms, but mom and dad wouldn't let me. ahh, i got over it. trust me, i'll have plenty of time to spend out there soon enough. only 4 months and 10 days until *move in day* i'm definitely pumped.

today
woke up late. went to the tanning bed. went to todd's. had something done to my hair. yeah, we'll see who notices tomorrow. lol. and prepared myself for the biggest dread ever: the return to my so-called life tomorrow.

this weekend has changed me, definitely for the better. i realize how much i have limited myself, i have realized my personality. i have begun to understand myself. i find myself being more open-minded, more understanding, more carefree. it's amazing what you can discover about yourself in five days, but i am so thankful for those amazing, altering five days. it has created a new me. :)
