So these little flowers I am especially drawn to lately are blossoms of a beach vine called
Railroad Vine, the flowers referred to as beach morning glory or goat's foot. I thought the delicate flower looked like a morning glory, but am far from being an expert in the botany arena.
I liked this little scene I happened upon while walking the beach this morning, the vivid pink bloom leaning upon a piece of partially charred driftwood, surrounded by leaves of the vine both living and dead, a smaller pink flower bud to the right and some little dried up looking flowers. Very "diamond in the rough".
I realized too late that there appears to be some sort of animal feces amongst the roughage. Oh well...
