Tired now.

My team's Christmas do is tonight and I'm not enthused about going. It's a barbecue at the boss's place, so I know I'll enjoy it once I'm there, but yeah. I'm just shattered at the moment, so may have to have a lie down at some point this afternoon. I must be getting old!

Went to the theatre last night and saw La Cage. Seriously, any locals, make sure you go and see it. The Court do musicals so very well, and this is no exception. It's on till mid February, so you've got heaps of time. Having said that, if you're going to go, then get your tickets as soon as you can becuase the Court Musicals are incredibly popular and tend to sell out by mid January. George Henare is just superb. Actually, the whole cast are superb.

I'm getting back into the theatre again. I've gone to the last couple of Court shows and really enjoyed myself, so I'm going to definitely keep going. The play they're showing in March/April, is set on the Coast in the 40s and 50s and concerns an incident that both my grandfathers were heavily involved in - on different sides of the argument, so I'm definitely going to that. And Miss Saigon is coming in April/May - definitely going to that! Starlight Express is coming next winter - I'm a little bit meh about that. The fact that it's on in winter at the Westpac Centre - or the wrong side of town for me - is not fantastic. I know I'd be able to crash at Erana's since she lives around the corner from the Centre, but there's nothing quite like your own bed. Will have to see if there's a matinee performance - that might be the best option.

There's not been a lot happening wih me, to be honest. I finished my Christmas shopping, so I don't need to go anywhere near a mall now, so that's great. It's probably a bit bah humbug of me, but the thought of going anywhere near the shops at this time of the year does absolutely nothing for me. My Christmas leave was approved and I go home to the parents next Sunday and am back here on the Saturday night.

Does anyone here use Facebook? Tasha's trying to talk me into signing up. Unfortunately, I can't see too many of the features unless I sign up, which makes me a little hesitant to do so - I'd rather see what I was buying first, so to speak. She's describing it as a wonderful time-waster, which sounds interesting, but I really don't need another way to procrastinate. I don't know - anyone have opinions one way or the other. I'm a little unsure about the whole thing since it's tied in with your real name...

Anyway, I'd better get myself organised for this damn barbecue!
