I've really slipped into my High School Musical fandom once again; I thought it was bad back in '07 when the second one came out and I was pretty much dying of happiness. But alas, the obsession died out as the year 2008 progressed. And now, finally, the third movie has been released into theaters.

And I must say, for my third time seeing it, I have not gotten over it. I still have all the dvds, soundtracks and posters and I love looking at them every day. There isn't a single day since I've seen the new movie that I haven't gone without listening to a single HSM song. My current favorite is "I Want It All." It is absolutely the most amazing song I have ever heard.

However, unfortunately, my refound obsession for the series has become a bit of a problem; Yes, I get made fun of for it. I've learned to not care what everyone else thinks about my interests. I don't poke fun at anything they like, why should they poke fun at me? It's quite pathetic. There is a fine like between teenie bopper and fan. The music is what keeps me moving, not the attractiveness of the characters.

Though the characters are very good looking as well! I will not lie, Lucas Grabeel is absolutely amazing in the third movie. Everything about his character just sends a whiff of happiness through my body. It's wonderful to see how the character of Ryan Evans has progressed throughout the trilogy.

And of course, there is Corbin Bleu-- my guilty pleasure. I didn't want to fall for any characters during my journey or fandom, however, Corbin never fails to make me feel weak in the knees. I admire his talent very much; he can sing and dance very well and is an absolutely breathtaking performer. Zac on the other hand... He was quite satisfactory as well. I grew to really like his character in this movie.
Yes, I normally do not like the character of Troy Bolton. Ironically enough, I tend to not pay so much attention to Troy and Gabriella's relationship-- Instead, I notice the other characters, Ryan and Sharpay being my favorite. As much of a brat as she is, I can't help but love Sharpay; Ashley Tisdale, herself, is an amazing and talented actress. Being able to pull off such a crude character whilst being a very sweet girl internally is a very hard thing to do. But she pulls it off swimingly.

All in all, the movie was quite a success in my book; the three new characters are lovely. I've already grown a bit of a dislike towards Miss Tiara Gold, however, I've also grown a strange likeness for Mister Jimmie Zara. Imagining him being the next lead in the (possible) fourth movie makes me very excited. He is a wonderful addition to the Wildcat family, and I'm sure he will make the original cast proud.

That brings me to the end of this wonderful post. Granted, not everyone will want to sit and read this elongated journal entry about High School Musical, but I felt that it is a very wise thing to keep an online journal and post certain feelings that one would like to reminisce in the future.
