This post doesn't really have any significance or importance, it's just a few things I've recently thought about.
(^See what I did there? Makes it sound like I'm selling chicken.)
I make comparisons alot when I'm learning something new. It helps me get a better grip on information. As such, I was thinking earlier today how Tom Milsom sort of reminded me of John Lennon. And then I realized the rest of the Sons of Admirals were alot like the Beatles. (Don't let it get to your head, boys.) And I figured I'd make a list to fully organize this. So here it is.
~Tom Milsom=John Lennon: Smart, intelligent, musical genius. Deep and philosophical at a young age. Quick-witted. Has done charitable work for a better world. Questionable hair decisions.
~Eddplant=Paul McCartney: (I am going to say, I don't know Ed as well as the other boys, but I have drawn a few connections, none of which are meant to be offensive.) Kind of a pretty boy. Still a great musician, though.
~Charlie McDonnell=George Harrison: Shy, quiet. Sunny and cheerful when he opens up. Supportive mum. Is just as funny/sweet/amazing as the other boys when he overcomes his shyness.
~Alex Day=Ringo Starr: Can be a little slow at times, but still a sweetheart. Great friend. Loyal companion. Akward laugh.
(Coincidentally, my favorite pairings also match up. [GeorgeXRingo=CharlieXAlex] Huh.)
A while ago, my brother and I figured out the NCIS family tree and who goes where. I tried to post it once, but it didn't work and I haven't bothered trying to post it since. UNTIL NOW.
~Gibbs: Awesome dad that knows everything. Though he's distant at times, and strict, you know it's for your own good and he loves you anyway.
~Director Jenny Shepherd: Mother who's dedicated to work, but also loves her family and would die for them. She can also be strict, but it's tough-love. You don't dare try to challenge her; she's always right.
`Director Leon Vance: Evil step-momdad. Or (to borrow a line from Barry Lyga) the step-facist. Very, very strict, almost over-controlling. Is positive he's always right about everything, though often times he isn't. Dad is the only one who might be able to convince him otherwise. Nobody likes him much. Or, y'know. At all. You're sort of stuck with him.
~Ducky: Awesome grandpa who tells you long-winded stories about his childhood/the war/everything. It's not so bad, though; he's always there if you need advice or comfort, and the best place to get it from.
~Tony Dinozzo: Assertive older brother. Eldest sibling. Thinks he's never wrong, until Dad reminds him that Dad always wins. Always. Calls you names and loves snooping in your personal files.
~Ziva David: Helpful older sister. Very intelligent, doesn't mind lending a hand if it's someone in her family who needs it. Sweet, but not to be underestimated. Fiercely protective of her family and can be merciless to those who harm or threaten it.
~Kate Todd: Intelligent middle child. Very witty, and is quite sure of her place in the rankings.
~Tim McGee: Smart (albeit a little nerdy) younger brother. Can do pretty much anything at a given time and is often picked on for his intelligence. Very, very computer oriented and sometimes a bit childish.
~Abby Scuito: Bouncy, hyperactive younger sister. Youngest sibling. Sweetness to the extreme. Always available for hugs, and the ultimate in optimism. Beloved by all.
~Jimmy Palmer: Shy, reserved cousin who lives with you. Often keeps to himself, partly because when he does share his thoughts, they come out rather... akward. You still love him, though; he's knowledgeable and a good person inside.
8DDD My brother was the one who pointed out Leon would be the evil stepdad and I was like "OMFG, YES! THIS IS WHY YOU ARE THE COOLEST BROTHER EVER!" Although, if they were an actual family, all pairings would be incest. WHICH IS BAD. DD:
