Santa Claus pulled through in the clutch, and managed to genuinely suprise me with the Juicy Couture purse I've been obsessing over FOREVER. It is BEAUTIFUL, I can't even talk about how in love with it I am. Every purse has to have a name, duh...so I've christened my new little addition as: ERNIE. Ernie is a perfect fit; it's a medium sized bag, not too stout and unruly but not too fragile, it could hold it's own. It's got a little bling on it but not enough to be named Shaniqua. Pretty much, it looks plain but once you open it up it's personality BURSTS out of its hot pink 'juicy couture' lined walls, and it's cell phone pocket that says "HELLO?" on it. So, I figured ERNIE is a nice plain name but once you really decode it, you get some crazy megafun (purse) named Ernie!! Yea, I'm obsessed if you can't tell.
It's probably not healthy how much I looove purses.
as well as Ernie, santa dropped off a lovely digital camera! Now I can actually take REAL pictures, instead of ones on my phone. Along with other odds and ends, I would have to say this Christmas was extremely fulfilling, I almost feel a little guilty for being fortunate enough to have a real, good Christmas.
Tomorrow begins the trek to Big Mountain Ski Resort in Montana. We start off in Portland (tomorrow) overnight, to see my grandpa. Then we fly out from PDX reallllly early Tuesday morning, and POOF we are in the coldest most desolate place ever. I usually love being outdoors in pretty countryside...but for some reason, Montana just doesn't do it for me. All I think of when I hear "Montana" is those wolf blankets sold on street corners, dirty snow on the streets, and lots of old boxy minivans with strange people loitering outside of stores smelling of...fish and cold? Yep that's pretty much it. eww. Anyways, so for the next...weekish, I will be freezing my tootsie off, probably wearing about 8 layers and still managing to shiver and convulse, while my WHOLE family...extended relatives, EVERYONE...snowboards or skis all day. Most likely I'll be shopping, watching tv, or in the jacuzzi/spa area of the hotel. mmm sounds inviting already. EXCEPT I am more excited to come home than I am to leave, which is weird. But slightly intriguing at the same time, since that never happens.
I don't think there's a mood to really describe me lately, so I'll just make up my own:
A little girl in a life size magic barbie castle
orrr, a crow enjoying a fresh hot cheeseburger someone accidentally left on a bench on a freezing cold day
or possibly, just a plain girl who is overly excited/giddy about future rendevous and the whole, long, getting-to-know process that will take place (hopefully) when she gets back from "the trip from hell" over winter break :-).
Yepp, that last one justtt about sums it up.
