Occupational hazards

Oh my god...tonight was one of the worst nights ever. Today started out at Arby's, and I worked from 11-5. I didn't even get a full break...I got off a little early so that I could go home and shower and get ready for tonight and babysitting. Well, the kids are really sweet and easy to get along with. Four-year old Holden and 2-year old Grayson. Jebbie is babysitting for the people who recommended me to the Strongs, and she came over with Noah and Leah for a while...those kids are hyperactive though, especially Noah. Anywho, after watching The Brave Little Toaster we put in The Emperor's New Groove...going fine other than little kids screaming everywhere. Well, Jebbie leaves to put her charges to bed and I have the boys brush their teeth...I needed to apply a diaper, so I took the little boy to his room and went to turn on the light. It was off and the fan was on, so I went to pull the light switch from the ceiling...as soon as I touch the little dangling chain, CRASH! The outer light falls to the floor. Thank God I was holding Holden in my arms and Grayson was in the living room. I had to pick up all of that stupid glass by hand, then I vacuumed for like twenty minutes just in case. I finally took the bedspread and put it in the washer, also just in case. The kids are now in bed, and I cleaned all the dishes and picked up all the toys and let the puppies in and now I'm POOPED...since when is babysitting like this? And now I'm worried that the parents might get mad about the light, but I swear, as soon as I touched the light switch it fell...there was nothing anyone could do about it...even my Spidey skills weren't enough to stop the stupid light from falling. And I kinda get the feeling I have microscopic pieces of glass in my foot, oh the joy. Well, now that the kids are in bed I think I'm gonna watch Sex and the City on DVD...

The only good part of today was that Chris came in to Arby's with a Spiderman wallet and pen...isn't he sweet? Oh, and to anyone who cares...(I just saw a preview for One Tree Hill which reminded me) Chad Michael Murray proposed to his girlfriend (Brooke from the show)...they're only 22! Still sweet though, huh?
