Today at work..it was actually going pretty smooth. We surprisingly didn't have an evil customer. Well, I did encounter a few who weren't very nice but nothing like what we later got.
It all starts off with a woman who we thought was just a regular nice mannered customer. She asked us if we had any Butterrum candles left. Butterrum was supposedly the popular candle this year because everyone was buying them like crazy. So all of us were walking around the store looking to see if maybe we had moved them somewhere. There were no butterrums to be found. So then Heather goes to the back of the store in the stockroom to see if there were any and nope..none. Heather then proceeded to tell the woman that we no longer have any but to make sure she told her that we would ask an employee that had just bought one. So, she went and asked Jessica if she happened to know where they were. Jessica told us she actually had bought the last one. We thought this would cease the search but boy were we ever wrong. The woman then asks Heather to ask Jessica if she could buy the candle from Jessica. To me, this seems incredibly extreme and I'm thinking get this nutcase outta our store. Well obviously Jessica is going to say no because she said she actually was buying it as a gift for someone. This really pisses the idiot off and she starts ranting on about how the customer should be the first to get it. Her husband then walks into the store and is like I can't beleive this..we're calling the district manager..I'm just sitting there smiling in my head..hahah good try buddy..that'll get you nowhere..they're already on our side due to the previous day. He then is like i want proof that she bought it and the woman goes i think your lying to us to heather! Heather looks like shes having a nervous break down and im like omg this is not getting ne better. As heather is going to the back to get the receipt from jessica the woman is ranting and raving to me about how the custoemr comes first and that she'd just love to know what our policy is blah blah BLAH. I probably shouldn't have said ne thing but I felt awful for Heather who was taking all the weight on her shoulders. I told the woman that Jessica had already bought it and that it technically was hers. I alo said that isnt jessica a customer as well? and the womans like are you the manager? and i go no. And shes like well you better watch it nicole. You're too young to know that customers come first..and im thinking ok idiot i know when customers come first and this isnt one of those times. If someone bought something..it now belongs to them.. UGH. Well heather comes out from the back and shes holding the receipt andshows it to them. This REALLY pisses the woman off and the woman goes on and on about how we should be able to return it and give it to mrs. princess. I'm thinking wtf..get a f-en life you f-tard. She eventually left and i was really shooken up over it. I've never had an encounter like that before. But im proud to say that the loser didn't intimidate me at all. She tried giving me the stare down and i wouldnt allow it..i just stared at her expressionless and without saying ne thing the whole time shes going on and on about that damn candle. Stupid ass.
Well after this is all overwith, I go to the back of the store and poor Heather is back there crying. She was so upset. We were all comforting her and telling her that it'd be ok. I was about to cry from watching her cry. I was like Heather its ok!!! It's not your fault please don't cry. =( She decided to call our manager luann to let her know what happened cause im sure she'd be hearing about it. Heather tried telling her the story but just started crying even more and you couldn't understand it. So, she gave me the phone and I told Luann the story. She told us to "not worry about the stupid bitch" LOL. It was great. She told us we had nothing to worry about and that everything would be ok. I even told her my own little spill with the whore. lol But thats it...interesting day it was..
