I found my dream role in a straight play that I had to read for a class I thought would never amount to anything. I've always enjoyed musicals. They're fun and they can evoke emotion... but PROOF? Wow.
The moment I started reading, I realized she would be a fun role to play. As I continued, she became more than that. Something about the show, about her, made me think. It really affected me.
Auditions for Civic are this weekend. Rocky Horror and Little Shop among other things. I received a FB message about it. This evening, I went back to that message. You know, thinking about how much I want to be back on Stage. I read through the rest of the season... PROOF auditions are May 1st. Show is last weekend in June and first two weekends in July.
