Random thoughts on the "Heroes" season premiere:
* I cracked up when Peter started to reach for his gun in the church, because come on -- how hilarious would it be if Peter just followed Nathan around, repeatedly shooting him in public? Every time he started talking? That's a spinoff right there.
* I'm glad they put two episodes in a row. Because I went through exactly three minutes of being really pissed that Mohinder took the magic steroids -- I liked that he had the brains and no powers! this is so uncool! -- and then suddenly we're in the next episode and it turns out his power is sexy glistening. Okay then! I approve.
* By the way, Mohinder? "Let's give more people superpowers and the world will be way less dangerous" is a terrible philosophy. Don't think you can recite Yeats and I'll think you're smart again.
* Which segues into this: How stupid do you have to be to be the stupidest person on "Heroes" anyway? This show is like reverse MENSA. Right now Hiro is winning. ARGH.
* Hey, NikiJessiTracy isn't dead. Yay! I'd rather they bring back DL and Micah too, but this is a start.
* I keep having major feminist twinges while watching this show. Just little things. But Mama Petrelli continues to OWN MY EVERLASTING HEART, so at least there's that. Her firing of Elle was the stuff dreams are made of, you guys.
* Claire is... Claire. I am excited about her dipping into the dark side this year, and I actually did an OH GIRLFRIEND YES! when she made that comment to Peter about her power sucking because she only uses it by being a victim all the time. Take her the fuck with you, Noah. I cannot figure out if I'm supposed to think that she still doesn't know what she's getting into and he's right to be protective of her and blah blah. Girl cannot be killed! She has cheerleader balls of steel. Come on already! No, it's much better for her to throw herself in front of some more trains. Let's do that some more.
* HO SHIT MARLO STANFIELD HAS ESCAPED FROM LEVEL 5. Please tell me I'm not the only person in the universe who watched both these shows?
* AHAHAHA SYLAR IS A SECRET PETRELLI. Wasn't there a whole "Heroes" crossover ficathon where it turns out characters from other shows are really related to them?
