I *heart* S2 of Chalk muchly as you well know :)
Slatt is far less OTT, don't know whether this is due the Moff's writing or a decision by the actor but Eric is so much better for it. Suzy's transformation into your typically insane Galdast High teacher is great and I much prefer Duncan Preston's Headmaster to the previous one.

"Amanda, are you 'Hot bitch'?!". Episode 2 is just wonderful. We start to see the more 'human' side of Eric, even he can't fire Miss Tripley. I love that she draws portraits of all the visitors to her office -which so far is Eric and a gerbill. [Another great Slatt line there :"I am not an escaped gerbill!"]And the final scenes where he gets rid of the Education Officer had me cheering :) My hero!

As for Episode 4, well what's not to love about that one? It's just brilliant from start to finish, although how NW manages to keep a straight face in those dream scenes with DB I'll never know. The geography stuff is priceless and echoes my own thoughts exactly. "What is Geography?" I am thinking of making a sign for our Geography Dept with the '..tomorrow the world, next day colour it in..." quote. They'd probably appreciate that ;)

Episode 6. *sigh* Eric is the hero all over again and that video is superb as are Dan and Suzy's reactions to it. Nice to see Jason being made a fool of too as I can't stand him :D Mr Carkdale is the ONLY one wearing a party hat which is just inspired. Amanda's erotic food dreams about celebrities are priceless ["Jeremy Paxman was a chocolate pot and I was a...."] and "Elvis has left the building!". Big "Yay" for Suzy and Dan hope, how I wish there had been a S3, though I suspect there's very few others who feel the same...

Thanks for these Rob! :) You going to get thinking about some for 'The Last Train' next? :P
