ETA: Okay, here's a slightly more coherent reaction. The overall episode was a bit uneven, but Freeman was absolutely brilliant. His eyelashes in the opening scene should get a supporting acting BAFTA. Andrew Scott is infinitely better as Moriarty this time around, but I thought the episode still struggled to hang together (Gatiss & Moffat should reconsider the 90-minute format for the next series, since they obviously have trouble with it). Slightly underwhelmed, but Freeman's performance made me that much more excited about The Hobbit.
In conclusion, Molly Hooper FTW.
