FUCK YEAH CAPTAIN AMERICA (fuck YOU lj)
FYI, I'm recreating this post on my shiney new smartphone because livejournal still won't let me update or consistently check my flist on my laptop even after I delete all my precious precious cookies.
I'm callling it right now, Captain America is the best comic book movie this year. It was campy, retro, hot (hello Dominic Cooper and Hayley Steeply and Sebastian Stan aka Kings' Jack Benjamin), and the action was unselfish-consciously over the top without dragging the pace down. Plus, Chris Evans did a surprisingly deft job as Steve Rogers, which left the scenery to be deliciously chewed by Hugo Weaving. I left before the credits ended so I missed out on thee Avengers trailer. Oh well, guess I'll just have to go again. :D
