Happy cheery post for a change!!

I'm a happy bunny :o)

I've got huge quantities of logs, enough to see me through the rest of the winter, for a lot cheaper than my old supplier. Oil has got cheaper too, so my latest order cost £200 less as well, so warm and toasty me for cheaper!

I've also realised that I don't have to pay council tax in Feb and March, and we've managed to find our flights for Canada for about £200 cheaper than I was budgetting for as well, so lots of money saving all round.

All of the above means I'll be able to upgrade my camera to a D300 by the end of April, unless any expensive disasters happen, which will be fantastic, as I can take it on a Skomer trip to get puffin shots :o) One of my New Years resolutions was to stop spending money on crap and save for things I REALLY want, and it's going well so far.

I'm also booked on a bird photography course at the Wetlands Centre with this chap:

Seeing as his pics are awesome I'm hoping to learn a few useful tips, and a couple of guys from the camera club are also going on the same day.

I'm also trying to shortlist my entries for the work photography competition, which is very exciting too! The deadline is the end of this month, and I'm looking forward to getting some useful critiques.
