Why don't people like Ginny Weasley? I have NEVER understood the fandom hate towards her, and I'm just curious if anyone here feels they know the answer and would like to explain it to me...
I basically agree with all of this. Honestly, Ginny is one of my favorite characters - mostly because she's the one character I feel I have the most in common with...so I guess I'm my favorite? In a non-egotistical way though :P
But yeah, though I can kind of understand why people don't like her in the movies, I still...don't understand. I mean, J.K. Rowling wrote the book!Ginny, not movie!Ginny - so though Ginny wasn't really anything like her book counterpart (that we saw), it's not like that was somehow Ginny's fault...
I think my entire experience with the movies has been that when something wasn't the way I'd imagined, I just pretend it was - and the same goes for the Harry/Ginny relationship. Though I kind of will never forgive Bonnie Wright and Dan Radcliffe for being so wooden around each other. Don't get me wrong, I get that it's probably weird to pretend to be in love with someone you've known since you were eleven, but GET OVER IT, YOU'RE ACTORS. Not that I hold a grudge or anything...
So this got kind of long and bounced around a lot. My main point is: Ginny rocks awesomecakes, and anyone who doesn't agree has obviously been put under the Imperius curse and made to say bad things about her against their will.
