i've been very absent lately...
•...but I'm almost halfway through a Damon/Elena superlong one-shot. I AM HAVING SO MUCH FUN WRITING IT. Seriously.
•Also, I've gone crazy and have signed up for the HetBigBang. Anyone who has regularly read any of my multi-chapter fics knows that I have a horrible procrastination problem (I will finish 'Normal' and 'Vita Ex Mors Mortis'...someday). BUT I will challenge myself to write this, and finish both of the aforementioned fics before the Big Bang due date (Sept. 25th).
•Now, while we're on the topic of the Big Bang, I need help! I have NO idea what fandom/pairing I want to write for...any suggestions?
I have a bit of an idea for the story-line, and I think it would fit best in Harry Potter, but could really also fit with any show/book/movie involving the magical/supernatural.
•OH, and - GAME OF THRONES IS AMAZING! And I'm not just talking about the show. I had no idea that it was based off of a book series (written by a man who was dubbed the 'American Tolkien'), but as soon as I found out I went down to Barnes & Noble and picked up the four that are out. I'm only about a hundred pages into the first, but it is so good! I really enjoy his writing style as well. And not to be all "I'm just as good as a published author" but I think we have very similar styles. Obviously his are more profitable, haha.
•A bit about RL: I'm usually not one to share any info about my life outside of the internet, but I thought I'd let you all know why I've been so absent. I've moved to a new city, have been staying in someone's living room and trying to find a job. On top of that, I've had a final falling out with my mother. The past week has been kind to me, however, as I found an actual place to live, and I now have two jobs instead of none, so yay!
•Kind of related to RL: I have started writing a book! Like an actual book. Who knows if I'll ever finish it, but I'm really loving the process so far - and I'm proud because the twenty pages that I've written so far are miles better than anything I've written before. With everything else going on, I'll probably only work on it every once in a while, but hopefully everything will settle down in the next few months :)
