It's funny, but I was more terrified of losing my hands than anything else. In fact, it's the only thing I was afraid of, aside from my camera being destroyed with them. All I could think to do was protect them with my body and head. I suppose it almost killed me.
I haven't been taking my oral medication. I like how everything hurts except for my hands. I can't describe the joy of lying here in excruciating pain, my heart racing with every agonizing breath, while I hold my beautiful camera to my chest with these wonderfully undamaged hands.
