Around 2 pm, I went into my computer room and did varying things there for a bit, then went back in my room to check out the new "game" I just got yesterday (The Document of "Metal Gear Solid 2", practically impossible to find, and I got it for $6 -- I'm a sucker for behind-the-scenes stuff and anything Metal Gear). I heard an odd plunking noise on my bed. I looked on it and couldn't see anything, and I had no idea what was making the noise. I went downstairs to ask my mom about it and to bring her up to see if she knew what it was. She looked up and said, "It's leaking water." Right above my bed is an AC duct, and the drain pan had apparently gotten too full again. The ACs are in the wall between my room and my computer room. The last time this happened, the ceiling was stained and I had to throw away a print/magazine clipped picture of a cat because the water had gone down the wall. This time, it went past that area and across to the vent thing above my bed. We took the wet blanket off and my mattress is soaked in one area. We put a huge bucket/storage bin to catch the water while we got a big pot to empty out the AC pan. There's a switch that's supposed to turn the AC off completely when the pan gets full so the water can evaporate, but apparently the switch failed. The bigger pan that was put in there also got full, so draining it took a long time. We had a wet/dry vac that my dad had gotten a new hose for, but Pat sold it. It would have been too heavy for me and/or mom to wield around with all the water in it, anyway, because there's a ladder we have to climb up to get to the AC area.

So I have a math quiz tomorrow and homework to do, and ended up having spend my day helping mom drain all the water from the AC pan. My bed is soaked, so I have to sleep on the floor tonight with my big fuzzy blanket (that wasn't wet, at least) on my giant pillow. Grar. I hoep I get a decent night's sleep.
