It is the 2nd April and once again I have decided to update this even though no one reads it and I usually forget about this and randomly think 'oh damn, remember that online journal you had? You should write in it again'.
The only thing I get from reading it is that I have an obsession with losing weight... which isn't really healthy.
Last week on Thursday I went to a naturopath for the first time. I have been having some serious gut issues and really needed to address them. I have had a few friends suggest seeing a naturopath as they have done so I decided to try it.
The naturopath told me that I have an intolerance to dairy and wheat. She also said my bloods suggested I may have a thyroid issue but working on my diet may help sort that out. She also suggested that I try 'clean keto' but instead of high fat, I need to eat high protein. It has been pretty good so far.
So here I sit 7 days after the visit. I have done my best to stick to this new diet and make a note of any symptoms I may feel when I eat certain foods. I have been very mindful of what I eat however, I have had small amounts of things I shouldn't. Such as rice, 1 home made pizza on a small pizza base and 2 alcoholic drinks last night.
So far, I am down about 2.7kg.
There are not a lot of junk foods I can eat anymore so I have only been getting a meat box with salad from kebab shops with garlic sauce & hot chilli sauce. Jenny says I can't have the garlic sauce but a little but won't hurt and I can monitor any symptoms I have from eating it.
I want to make this journal about setting goals and reaching them but the biggest goal I have in my life is to lose weight.
I hope to try and move forward with this and change it to tracking the change to a healthy lifestyle, let's see how I go.
In other news, I start my new job on Tuesday.
We have sold our Baldivis house and the settlement is expected to be on 26th April.
