here. ♥ I’m trying to explore different characters, especially ones that I don’t necessarily like.
She’d wanted it all. The world had been at the tips of her fingers, only to be dashed away in one fatal swoop.
Why was it that she wanted him? He was not so different from any of her other country men. She was far too smart to fall for his brand of charm. But fallen she had, before she’d even lain eyes on him; she’d fallen madly in love with Tamaki Suoh. Perhaps she’d built him up her mind, the way his mother lovingly described his thoughtful nature, his selflessness. Or maybe it was his prince character, maybe deep down she was just like any girl; whom only wanted to be swept off her feet.
She could laugh at the thought.
She wasn’t some frivolous minded girl; she was more shrewd business woman than giggling high school girl. She was the product of a legacy, trained and molded to be intelligent, insightful, elegant, shrewd, and above all calculating. Her family didn’t rise to its position in the world market by frittering away their time on childish fantasies of a prince who’d sweep you off your feet.
But still, when those blue eyes fell on her for the first time… her heart skipped a beat. This was all arranged, her family benefited, his family benefited, in trade. He could see his mother and she… well she wouldn’t put to words what she received from it. For a time, he was hers. For a time, she indulged in her childish fantasy. But like a child, she was jealous. She wanted him for herself; she jealously guarded him from the others, fearing he’d turn away. Because, really; he couldn’t be hers; not completely. She’d been given everything in her life, money, possessions and power, but she couldn’t be given his love.
Letting him go was the hardest part. But still he had a smile for her. Despite everything she had done. That was just his way. She loved him. He would never love her back. Maybe it was best that way.
---- My Muse is definitely hanging out in the Ouran Fandom at moment. Sorry IY-friends. :D
