Feasting
Ended up doing a huge amount of stuff for the current feast.
I generally do the award scrolls and the marzipan subtleties for feasts. This time I was also organising a performance of Beowulf.
... then the cook dropped out, and I had to sort out recipes, calculate ingredient quantities, do the shopping, etc, etc, etc...
... the the person who said they'd do the props for Beowulf ran out of time, so I had to do that. With help from the kids, luckily, but still...
... one of the committee announced she wouldn't be attending so we had to collect her stuff a couple of days ahead and arrange to get it from ours to the hall, then back here, then over to where it's being stored next.
... then another of the committee couldn't attend, dropped stuff off on the day... late so we had already sorted out replacements... and left it for us to transport back and sort out further transport to where it's being stored now...
Ah well, in the end it was a good event and people enjoyed it.
