The ten things meme again:
A P from
random_redhead Paper - While it's possible to read books and suchlike on the Internet I do prefer having an actual book made of real paper most of the time. Also, scanning through paper documents can be easier than scrolling screens because you can mark stuff more easily.
Pandas - Okay, so they're an animal that is really working for their own extinction... trying to live on a bamboo diet when provided with carnivorous teeth and gut...
But I kind of hope they don't succeed in wiping themselves out because they're wonderfully absurd creatures.
Pub - There are a few pubs in town that a single female can go in to and not get harrassed or chatted up by random strangers. Shame that there aren't more, but at least there are some.
Planet Earth - more 80s cheese... (Apologies to the sane ones among you)
Puddles - the kids have more or less grown out of jumping in to puddles these days, which is kind of a shame in a way. Though I don't miss the laundry.
Pickles - we recently had a dinner party where we made some 18th Century recipes including salmagundy which is a decorative platter of salad stuff, cold meats, pickles etc. Pickled lemons and pickled walnuts are among my favorites just now.
People - with a few specific exceptions, people are cool. Interesting to talk to, share experiences with, pursue hobbies with, etc.
Popadums - I grill rather than fry these. A nice snack and very quick to make.
Photography - digital cameras are great for taking pictures of the kids because you can take loads and then discard the ones where they're pulling faces or running away suddenly. Unfortunately mine is less good for the very close up shots of things like flowers and birds that I used to like to do with my old film camera (now deceased due to leaky batteries).
Pai Mu Dan - a variety of white tea. Supposed to be very healthy and I kind of like the taste of it.
