Personal History:
Nicholas Dylan Duval was born on February 27th 1994 in Columbus, Ohio. The only child of Robert and Coraline Duval, his father was the CEO of a family-run law firm and his mother found success as a middle school teacher. The Duval family lived comfortably on their joint income, as well as a large sum of inheritance money received by Robert from his uncle, who died just shy of Nick's first birthday. As such, Nick's life was fairly average in terms of his experiences and and the Duval family lived a comfortable and cushy life in an upper-class suburb of Columbus, where Nick was always a positive and happy child who had many friends around the neighbourhood and was somebody who was well-liked by many.
Nick's father attended Dalton, as did his grandfather and uncles. In being a family tradition, Robert was determined to uphold it once he had children of his own. Therefore, Nick was enrolled as a freshman and fit right in with his classmates. In having a gift for singing, he promptly auditioned for the Warblers and tried out three times; twice unsuccessfully until he was finally accepted in his sophomore year. Another love of his was baseball and he managed to get onto the team around the same time as he became a Warbler. It wasn't always easy juggling the two but Nick managed it, as well as maintaining a 3.9 GPA. Really, everything in Nick's life seemed utterly perfect.
Over this past summer, things have turned sour for the Duval family. Having been in financial trouble for a while, Robert's law firm finally went under just before summer commenced. Having poured all of their savings and the inheritance money into trying to save the firm, the Duval family went from privileged to poor practically overnight. Knowing that he couldn't keep this from his family any longer, Robert sat Coraline and Nick down and tried to explain their situation. Rather horrified with the entire thing, Coraline decided that she needed to get away for a while. In being given the choice by his parents, Nick opted to accompany his mother.
The pair of them moved (temporarily, according to Coraline) to Lima, and are currently living in a small, two bedroom apartment. Nick, in knowing how dire their situation was, opted to get a job and he currently waits tables at Breadstix and has been all summer. He hasn't yet told any of his friends about the situation, but knows that he won't be returning to Dalton for his senior year and is aware that people will find out what happened eventually. He can only tell so many lies. He just hopes that it'll all work itself out somehow but in the meantime, he'll try to get by.

♣ Nick played Juliet in the school production of Romeo & Juliet in his sophomore year, opposite Blaine Anderson.
♣ During their time at Dalton, Blaine and Nick were involved in some form of Chemistry experiment which went wrong. The result led to playful mocking from their fellow Warblers.
♣ Jeff once vomited on Nick during a field trip in seventh grade.
♣ Zane's new nickname for Nick is pocket pixie.
♣ Nick sang "Drops of Jupiter" by Train for his audition for New Directions. He is a big Train fan.
♣ At some point, Nick dated a freshman from Crawford Country Day.
♣ Kurt had no idea that Nick was pansexual until he was told.
