Alright then LJ
Let's see what we can do here.
Partly inspired by tuv23's recent FB post, partly by the fact that I've recently started blogging professionally (read: one post.. must do another one..) and suspect I will need a private venting channel, I wanted to see what was going on here. A lot of my LJ 'friends' are actually comics, metafilter, other stuff that years ago when I wrote here a lot it was easier to get RSS here, but with the fragmentation of content over FB, Reader, here, it seems quite lonely now.
I miss writing about books too. Will do more of that I hope.
Also because - BIG NEWS! - we (burritob & I!) are going to work in Jakarta for three months. OUCH! So I figure I may as well try to write a bit about it in a semi-private venue and try to work on actually being good at writing for a bit. I mean, sure, this post is public, but nobody will actually see it - except that as it is public I have to think about what to write. Friends-only will get the swearing and the vitriol, I am sure:-)
