I'm in Athens, it's warm and I felt a layer of dirt settle on my skin after a few hours walking around. Nonetheless, it's wonderful. Met mum here yesterday, where she talked my ear off about the relationship dramas she's had with travelling with 5-10 people in Europe. As I'm now staying in a room with two of them, I can understand. On Monday, though, we head off on our own.
Athens. Character, despite modern, cheap buildings. Sprawling maze of a city. Different alphabet. Tasty (yet so far repetitive) food. Cats, dogs, stretched out on the pavement. Impressive Acropolis. Touristy, but not outrageously so.
