Hello from Orillia
Firstly Happy Birthday to ebonfyre!!
I am safely in Orillia and looking forward to the Mariposa Folk Festival tonight and the rest of this weekend.
The events in London are sad. It is sad that people can hate each other so strongly they can justify to themselves that its okay to kill innocent people.
Though 50 people is a relatively small number when you consider the thousands of innocent Iraq citizens who have been killed by the war in Iraq and the many suicide bombers blowing themselves up that almost seem to be a weekly occurence there. Their lives are no less valuable then the ones lost in London, yet you rarely hear the same out pouring from the bigger countries (including our own) about the terrorist attacks in Iraq. Matthew Good makes several good points on his blog.
