Edge of Evolution
It's not very easy for a parent to let their child go, off into the wild, into the wilderness, to become one with the world and step forward to who they are to become. Imagine the day when our lord and savior decides it's just not our time anymore, and something new is to form these lands, maybe even something more powerful than god even... maybe powers are to be handed out to the next species that we can't even imagine. This story takes you to those times, times in which our future is handed to us, and we see what happens with the choices that have been handed to us for step in the evolutionary path of our future.
Last night I had such a dream, one that a creature was brought to our attention, one in which that showed us the next step of the evolutionary ladder.
Of course you would always question, what would the next step look like? Could it even been seen by the human eye? Or could it even be seen by animals? Perhaps only animals are the only ones to see this creature? Or maybe only in our dreams as it feeds off our souls? It could be a number of things that could bring us to these creatures, but which one will bring the truth of it all out? So let's take it into our heads and pretend we are being set up for this journey, One in which god decided only to see these creatures at certain times. A door opens up as ghost like creature takes upon the night air. It floats on by as some dogs back to the edge of the yard as the creature comes down hovering over the dogs. It turns back towards the door of the individuals home as the creature, neither he or she, but it, glances around in the home of the unsuspecting individual. The person looks about and hears the dogs being very quite as they walk to the back door and take a look around. "The coons bothering you Binky? The lady said to her dog. Don't let them bother you....I " she stopped for a moment and swirled around to find Binky not there. "Binky......what are you up too? You gone and dug another one of those confounded holes?" She walked around the barn to find the dog lying still on the ground. She poked the dog with a close pin she found on the ground. She poked the dog a couple times to find the dog was not waking up. "Great.......Tom is not going to like that his dog bit the dust" She took a few steps only find the dog was following her. "What ta you doing up? I thought you were long gone....what's with you dog? She leaned over to rub Binky's head only to find her hand in the dog's mouth, biting down hard. "Yow-ch! Crazy mutt! Gone and bit me. Wait till Tom gets home, he'll smack you from here all the way to the Anderson farm. I tell you your ".... she looked ahead of her to see Tom standing there not moving and standing behind the dog. " Tom....you alright?!".. She took a step back to look into his eyes, only to see the reflection of her eyes bounce back at her. " Tom, I'm going inside, need to clean up this wound here. She took a few steps back as she felt her arms spread as she was pushed up against the tool-shed. " Tom this isn't funny! Get me down now! " Tom looked up and straight into her eyes as she watched him, his body glowing ever so slightly as his body morphed in the moonlight.
Tom, this isn't no freak-show tv show, what the hell are you doing?" His hand floated up to her chin as another set of eyes opened on his forehead. She gasped and started to panic as she had no idea what was going on. The body of the dog had now joined that of Tom's, as the creature was floating in the air and controlling the ladies every single movement. She couldn't even speak, but she could hear the voices inside of her head now.
"Hello there creature of this world, dimension, and time. If you have not figured what is happening please let me explain, as it is time for you to move beyond your world that we now rule. We are, the next evolutionary step in life, Just close your eyes and dream of your world to come. She closed her eyes and instantly fell asleep to their hypnotic spell. It was almost a magic tune to their voice, that one like god would speak from a voice, as it took over her mind completely and welcomed her into a world of dreams. She lived her dreams in an intriguing experience as in reality the creatures took over their bodies and fed off them, and every little bit. Neither heaven nor hell was waiting for them when the creature finished, as it collected upon their memories and made it theirs, as the new evolutionary step had take place on this planet for creatures to grow, It was now time for the human race to experience the change in life and structure, what it is like to be a new step in evaluation and be one with the new race, To finally understand everything there is needed to know and how things work, it could be a interesting step for everyone, and everything.
The creature set down the road with a cane out to venture and take over for it's race. The next step, the new turn, the future will never be the same.... A time of change a new world at hand, what does the future hold for us?
